Schedule Periodic Mammograms to Catch Breast Cancer Quickly

Monthly breast exams and mammograms allow for the detection and treatment of breast cancer before it begins to cause symptoms.

Women in their 20s and 30s should schedule a clinical breast exam (CBS) at least every three years, and women over age 40 should schedule a mammogram screening every year. Contact Tennessee Surgical Specialists now for your mammogram screening.

Note Changes in Breast Appearance by Performing Regular Self-Exams

Beginning in their early 20s, women should perform a breast self-exam (BSE) regularly. This will allow them to figure out how their breasts normally look and feel so that any changes will be noticed immediately. If symptoms arise, it's important to consult a physician as soon as possible.
